The new Green Churches’ website provides essential information and tools to those who are greening their faith community and makes it easier for churches to join the Network. Much energy was invested in making the new website attractive, intuitive and easy to navigate. With this new website, it is now easy to locate “green” faith communities across Canada, by province, by denomination or by type of institution. The process of “Joining” the Network has been completely redesigned and is now much easier.
Various resources in “Spirituality”, “Education” and “Action” tabs are accessible on the new website along with tools to help churches advance in eco-spirituality and eco-justice. The site highlights the green initiatives taken by each registered church. In the “News” section, all the press releases of the Green Churches Network are available for consultation.
Visitors to the site can explore previous regional forums organized by the Network along with the contributions of several of the speakers, as well as a downloadable toolkit for the celebration the 4-week international “Season of Creation” which begins on September 1st. A visit to the new website becomes a simplified and attractive experience for churches and moves the Green Churches Network closer to reaching our goal of 200 green churches by 2020.
