Position: Environmental Education Consultant 

Details: 14-week contract, 25hrs/week 

Job description and responsibilities:  

Facilitate workshops, kiosks and other educational activities, either virtually or in person (depending on public health restrictions) that promote the preservation of the environment; 

Create and/or update environmental education materials such as fact sheets, manuals, activities, and publications on environmental themes;  

Create and/or update environmental education content on our website;  

Assess and evaluate environmental actions based on criteria;  

Provide and facilitate solutions and resources to local communities;  

Partner with environmental organizations  


Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken; 

Knowledge of community level environmental issues; 

Experience in environmental education an asset; 

Experience in the non profit environmental sector an asset; 

Experience with church communities and/or Christianity an asset; 

Strong organizational skills (detail oriented) and interpersonal skills (respectful of Christian values);   

Resourceful, team player, self-motivated, solution driven, pro-active and take pride in your work. 

Position is funded by Service Canada- Canada Summer Jobs, see below for eligibility criteria:  

be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;  

be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;  

and have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment.
