Notre-Dame-de-l'Alliance Parish

October 4, 2012 marked a new start for our churches of the New Covenant (“l’Alliance”) in the north of Montreal. On the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron of ecology, nature and animals, we, the members of Ste-Bernadette, St-Mathieu and St-Barthélemy churches (St-Marc having a special status), became Green Churches, churches that are concerned about recycling, saving energy and respecting the planet and the environment.

At different times during the year, we will hold related activities or make parishioners aware of the movement which, we hope, will extend right into their homes as well.

To make sure that we’re always aware of what’s happening, there will be a section of the parish bulletin on the Green Church program, and a Green Committee will be set up that will keep us informed of its orientations and projects throughout the year.

We’re ready to take the green challenge!
