The Grand Seminaire de Montreal is the Catholic Theological College of Montreal. It is on Sherbrooke St. Ouest, on the southern side of Mount Royal. The building is almost entirely covered with vines, and a naturel pool acts as a habitat for ducks during the temperate months of the year. In recent years, the institution increased its efforts to reduce its ecological footprint: changing light bulbs and choosing biodegradable soap, reusable cups, green cleaning products, recycling paper, glass, plastic and cans, collecting used batteries, etc.. Since March 2010, the college community agrees to renew efforts and seek new ways to protect the environment.
