Green Churches Forum 2019

The next Green Churches Forum will be held the 19th and 20th of October 2019 at Our Lady of the Cape Shrine. Approximately 200 people are expected to attend for two days of presentations, workshops and prayer to celebrate ‘The Gift of Water’. Christians of all denominations will be able to exchange ideas and best environmental practices while rediscovering a christian spirituality closer to God’s creation.

The Green Churches Forum is only a couple months away and planning is moving along quickly. Though we still have a lot of work to do the details are coming together well. The preliminary agenda is now ready! Click on the image below to see all the details.

The Forum will be held at Notre Dame du Cap Sanctuary on the 19th and 20th of October 2019 Anyone interested in the Green Churches Network, the environmental movement or water is invited – that means everyone! Tickets are now available through Symplik.

We will have speakers on various themes including:

  • Water as a source of life
  • Water for Recreation
  • Water as a source of Energy
  • Water for Transport
  • Water Conflit
  • Purification
  • Water as an element of Creation

Panels highlighting concrete actions taken in our member churches o   

  • The experience of starting a Green Church
  • The successes and difficulties of a variety of actions within the community

Hand on workshops; learn concrete skills that you can then use at home and in your church:

  • Composting 
  • Reducing food waste
  • Strategies to reduce plastic waste
  • Energy efficiency
